Hello there
My name is Houston. I design brand systems and then build the best content possible inside them. Key art, identity, layout, and the photography that goes with it.
11 years of it and counting, most recently at Fender, where I've taken work from a global software launch to trade show floors. I'm a photographer by trade and a working audio engineer, so a project can go a long way before I have to hand it off.
Whether it's a launch campaign or snapshots at my daughters' birthday party, I can't help but get invested in the craft. Every image, every layout, every bit of emotion deserves the same care.
I work with kindness, excellence, and a little fun along the way. If that sounds like your bag, let's talk.

Frequently
asked.
What do you do?
I work across brand design, photography, and video direction. In practice that means brand identity and design systems, campaign key art, product and lifestyle photography, launch films, and the packaging around them: social, retail, and e-commerce. On the largest projects I have run all of it as one pipeline rather than handing pieces to different teams.
Where do you work?
Anywhere the work is. I am available for global travel and regularly shoot on location, having produced campaigns across multiple cities for international launches. Studio, soundstage, LED volume wall, live venue, or client site. I am based in the United States and travel for the majority of projects.
Do you take on freelance and contract work?
Yes. Alongside in-house work I run an independent creative practice, taking on project-based engagements and ongoing retainers. That covers a single shoot or deliverable through to a full campaign built and delivered end to end.
What kinds of clients do you work with?
Most of my recent work has been with music gear and pro audio brands, where I have led global product launches end to end. The same approach carries into DTC, SaaS and software, and CPG: categories where a product has to be explained and made desirable at the same time. If it needs a coherent visual idea carried across film, photography, and design, it is in scope.
Do you handle a project end to end, or one piece of it?
Either. I have pitched a campaign, storyboarded it, directed the shoot, shot the stills, mixed the audio, and designed the collateral. I have also been brought in for a single lane, most often photography or direction. Whichever way a project is structured, I am comfortable owning one piece or the whole thing.
What is your turnaround?
It depends on scope, but I plan backwards from your launch date and agree on milestones before anything starts. Smaller projects usually move in days rather than weeks. For a multi-phase campaign, the schedule is built into the production plan up front so nothing lands late in the rollout.
How do we start?
Send me an email with what you are trying to make and when you need it. If it is a role, a job description is plenty. I will come back with questions, an honest read on fit, and what I would suggest as an approach.
Email meBrand identity, design systems, campaign key art, and launch creative. Eleven years of graphic design across Fender, PreSonus, and independent clients, working on global launches and available for travel. The work spans logo and identity systems, album art, packaging, social and campaign graphics, trade show environmental design, YouTube packaging, and e-commerce merchandising for global product launches.
Commercial, product, lifestyle, and portrait photography, shot and finished in house. US based and available worldwide, shooting from studio product tables to touring stages: campaign and lifestyle imagery, high-end transactional product shots, artist portraits, live music and event coverage, and on-location documentary work for national brands.
Three campaign breakdowns from Fender and PreSonus: a global software and hardware launch, the physical debut of a new brand identity at the NAMM Show, and a flagship console launch I pitched and directed end to end. Each covers the brief, the creative platform, the production, and what I personally owned across film, photography, sound, and design.

Introduce a
brand in person.
NAMM 2026 was the public debut of Fender Studio: the identity that carries PreSonus into the larger Fender organization.
The booth had one job. Launch broad brand awareness for that transition, and make the new identity's first physical impression land with the industry. Everything on the floor, from the buildout to the screens to the print, was in service of that debut.
What I owned
A to-scale booth mockup built to visualize the buildout and pitch the direction to leadership.
Graphic assets, overlays, and layouts for the booth's largest surface.
Photography on the floor across the run of the show.
Pre-show awareness assets driving traffic to the debut.
Handout and download-card layouts built for post-show retention.
Environmental print packaged and coordinated through outside vendors.
I previsualize.
Then it ships.
Before production, I built a to-scale rough mockup in Blender to visualize the buildout and pitch the direction to leadership. Below, the previz set beside the finished build. The pitch and the floor, side by side.

The wall, running
the new identity.
LED wall graphic assets, overlays, and layouts, built to carry the Fender Studio system across the booth's largest surface. The wall cycled brand moments, product features, and live content through the show.

The booth in action
The wall did not just run graphics. We programmed the booth as a live stage and cut the sessions for distribution, so the debut kept working long after the doors closed in Anaheim.
DJ Jazzy Jeff
Live from NAMMThe headline draw. A keynote set from a hall-of-fame DJ, staged inside the booth and packaged for YouTube to pull the debut well past the floor.
Joey Burcham
Live from NAMMRoo Studios owner and engineer, demonstrating the workflow to a room of dealers and working professionals. The credibility layer.
Josh Cumbee
Live from NAMMProducer and songwriter session, showing the software in the hands of a working writer rather than on a spec sheet.
Extending the booth
beyond the floor.
The floor is four days. The work around it runs longer: social graphics building awareness before the doors opened, and print that stayed in someone's hand after they walked away.

03A brand debut,
at industry scale.
The booth marked the public debut of Fender Studio, a newly minted subbrand transitioning the PreSonus identity into the larger Fender organization. The goal was brand awareness for that transition, and the booth was where the new identity met the industry for the first time. Across four days on the floor it drew dealers, press, and A-list musical talent, all meeting the brand in person for the first time.
